SID International Issues Letter of Intent to Finance 25 MW CSP Solar Project in Guatemala

Corpus Christi, Texas, July 1, 2009: - SID International Inc. announced today that it has issued a Letter of Intent to finance a two phased 25 MW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project in Guatemala. The CSP project, called GUATESOL I & II will be the first of its kind in Guatemala and in Central America. It is being developed in two phases of 10 MW and 15 MW by Guatemala Solar Group S.A. (GSG), of Guatemala City, at a projected cost of $82 million. A financing commitment is conditional upon GSG meeting specific indicative terms outlined in the Letter of Intent and subject to availability of funds.

The project will utilize a CSP system design from Naanovo Energy Inc. called SolarMaaxTM involving parabolic troughs, to be manufactured in Guatemala, combined with steam turbines and generators and onsite thermal storage. Phase One, which will be installed near the town of Esquintla, is expected to commence construction sometime before the end of 2009 and become operational by June 2011.

Guatemala Solar Group S. A. is a Guatemala company based in Guatemala City and was established in 2008 for the sole purpose of developing the GUATESOL Project. Naanovo Energy Inc. holds a minority interest in GSG and is developing similar projects in Africa and the southern USA. Naanovo Energy Inc. was originally established in Alberta Canada in 2001 as an alternative energy technology company, but has since been transformed into a CSP and Waste to Energy (WTE) project development company. Naanovo Group of Companies comprises subsidiary companies in the UK, the Gambia, Uganda, Syria, Guatemala, El Salvador, Brazil, Canada and the United States, all specializing in WTE and CSP projects.

SID International is an alternative energy company based in Corpus Christi, Texas, with interest in project development and alternative energy finance. SID is a designer and developer of energy related projects including wind and solar, with the intention to develop wave action projects in the near future. Corpus Christi, Texas, July 1, 2009: - SID International Inc. announced today that it has issued a Letter of Intent to finance a two phased 50 MW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project in Uganda. The CSP project, called NAMUGOGA I & II will be the first of its kind in Uganda and in Central Africa. It is being developed in two phases of 10 MW and 40 MW, at a projected cost of $190 million, by Naanovo Energy Uganda Limited (Naanovo Uganda), of Kampala, Uganda, a member of the Naanovo Group of Companies based in Ottawa Canada. A financing commitment is conditional upon Naanovo Uganda meeting specific indicative terms outlined in the Letter of Intent and subject to availability of funds.
